For most people, making the decision to seek professional help is very difficult. At MPCC, we understand this, and we try to make the process as comfortable and accessible as we can for you. From the time you call, your relationship with us is personal. We may talk briefly on the phone or by e-mail, and then schedule an initial consultation. No commitment is assumed beyond the first meeting.
During your first meeting, you and the therapist will discuss your concerns and reasons for seeking therapy. The therapist will make recommendations about possible courses of treatment moving forward. If the two of you decide to work together, you will always be encouraged to voice your concerns if you feel the chosen course of treatment or therapist is no longer a good fit for you. This will be a collaborative relationship and your input always matters and helps your therapist to provide you with the most individualized treatment possible.
